There is something about ZSJ

Everybody loves knows ZSJ

In the past week, it would appear that the curiosity regarding this mysterious blogger has been increased greatly in the i-fans community. There are more open discussions, different viewpoints on the pros and cons of the existence of this blog account.
Paid accounts and antis hated on him as much as they hated on ZZH, most ZZH fans welcomed ZSJ with open arms, save for a large part of the faction of fans I had mentioned previously, who remain wary and have yet to be convinced of ZSJ’s true intentions.

On Feb 17, Mr Li Tianshi (51) wrote an open letter to ZSJ, sending him his concern and regards.
On the late night of Feb 16, sweet Writer Hu Liu Ming ( 71 – main account also muted, currently using her office account ) sent some love out into the void :

She wrote: ” I have no right to pacify anyone, but I still want to say: Love you ! I will keep looking at you, watch you walk out of the darkness and cold, to stand under the bright warm sunlight. I thought I was waiting for you, but perhaps you already started moving forward…. I don’t encourage anyone to be a brave person ( its such a difficult life ), but, some people are just born brave!

** why I include their age is to show that these are not young, impressionable youth, but wise intellectuals who’d seen ‘some life’. They did not start out as fans, but stayed on to root for Zhang Zhe Han after they noticed his case – the injustice and frame-up event of August, and has stayed on as concerned parties ever since.

There is another ‘non-fan’, a bystander – a live streamer named **Master Su 苏师傅 – Su Shifu – SSF 30 yrs old. He has also taken notice of ZZH back then too and shared some of his ‘industry insider’ information on his insights to his case often, but I will have to state clearly here – I don’t know how much stock to put into his words. ( **not ZZH’s bestie Susu – who also does live streaming )

So it appeared that yesterday, someone had sent SSF screenshots of a blogger – with a very similar blog handle as the one he uses, which was commenting on ZSJ’s Feb 16 post. SSF was led to believe that this blogger was impersonating his account, and that this blogger tried to slander that Master Su was doing ‘sadfishing’.

Since the misunderstanding had been resolved, it appears that Master Su had removed his irate response. But a large portion of his response, seems to be related to ZSJ so I will share that. Take what you will from it, Master Su is by no means a ‘reliable witness’ to this identity ‘trial’ of ZSJ, but I wanted to share how, in the Chinese circle, ZSJ really seems to be an open secret.

Below are excerpts from Master Su’s now-deleted post.

” Someone actually impersonated me, you think too highly of me “ is the title of his post.

This is a clarification post, I am clarifying two public accounts / blogs

[ He goes on to clarify that the first blog has nothing to do with him, and in no uncertain heated words, suggested the blogger to get some therapy for doing such a thing. ]

Regarding the second account many people have asked me many times. Taking into consideration that the person you are concerned with would hope that I not reply, thus I will not publicly confirm or deny this issue.

But I can go over a few points with everyone.

1. Mulling over yes or no for such a long time is pretty ridiculous, is it because its not clear enough, or the difference between reality and your inner expectations has created a refusal to rational and objective thought?

2. I only got to know recently that his fans have subdivisions…Its really an entertainment circle’s unlimited subdivisions with different purities…I have also said to everyone before, many people and things are not so simple, especially when he is also an heir to a business. Everyone has one brain, two shoulders, celebrities are also human, they will also encounter the inconstancies in human affections that normal people will encounter and the tests of human nature. You need a thick neck if you want to take the weight of a heavy crown, so the tests they have to endure will exceed alot more compared to a normal person.

3. Often people ask me if that blog is controlled by this bunch or that bunch blah blah… I can take responsibility and say for certain that it is not what that group of people thinks, as an outsider I won’t explain nor pass any judgement.

4.People have also kept asking me about how matters are developing offline, and I have shared my polite observations, so I won’t explain any further here.

[ He ends off with some other comments, which I will not be translating. ]

So at a glance, all these waves of reactions came about because of ZSJ’s post on Feb 16 – what should have been a positive sharing about his mental well-being and to urge ‘his friends’ to also be brave to seek treatment if they have to – and created many different ripples of emotions.

Does ZSJ not expect to be accused of ‘sadfishing’ with his post to seek mental treatment? ZZH has gone through the same kind of accusations in his own instagram account – his last post which showed him needing an IV drip which interrupted a certain variety show appearance.
He has surely measured the harm such a post can cause, but decided to post it anyway.
Since I don’t get to ask him directly why, I can only surmise, that he might have been worried that fans might hear about it second-hand from the paparazzi or tabloids. ZZH had been stalked heavily post Aug which led to him fearing to leave his own home. For him to take this step – there is great risk of his privacy being violated at many possible stages – but it seems he felt it was time, he was ready to do it. So what can be better, than telling people who care for him, in person ( as much as he can achieve at this point of time), in detail to set their minds at ease?

Many people have been charmed by ZSJ’s writing. They find themselves getting drawn into his orbit. They felt moved by his words, received warmth from his thoughts and actions. ZSJ is like a precious, joyful secret that is barely kept, anxiously defended, fiercely protected.

A peach, by any other name, is still a peach.🍑

I have seen arguments that accuse ZSJ’s appearance to have led to ‘breaking of the fandom’ – which I firmly disagree with.

Generally, fans join a fandom, because something clicked for them with the star in question, at the right place, right time. Whether they were captured by looks, personality, talent, even moral outrage in ZZH’s case… they all started with something they wanted from him. Its only natural that a fandom will grow and move in different directions at different stages. This ‘love’ might wax and wane and who is to say how long it will last for every individual fan? We are literally still living in a global pandemic, certain countries are on the verge of war, a fandom is perhaps a place some can disappear into, as an escape. But make no mistake, there should be a bottom line of how much reel and real life we should be indulging in. At no point should the star in question become just a tool for one’s own entertainment.

A fan’s ‘love’, bluntly put, is usually mostly self-serving. I laugh when he does cute things. I feel emotions stirring when I hear him sing. I enjoy watching his acting. I hope to see his talent achieve greater things. When some fans find their needs no longer met and leave the fandom, that is only the natural order of things. ZZH is a living, breathing human being, and cannot be expected to hold to one ‘state’ forever to suit our own selfish desires. “Change is the only constant in life.” And with change, you either grow along with it, or you grow out of it. Should you blame the catalyst of change?

“ZZH needs as many fans as he can right now in this fight, so he should not change the status quo.” While that maybe true, in a cold, logical analysis, we should not be closed-off to the needs of his own well-being. Perhaps he is hoping for the best, that even if there is change, fans will stay on. But to expect him to not move forward and wait indefinitely, with his hands tied, seem directly at odds with what fans say they hope for – his best interests.

A true fan who really wants the best for him, could prepare your minds, and try to move in step with ZZH. And if you are a fan who needs solid evidence, then you are going to have to wait for his official accounts to be reinstated.
