小丑很纯粹。不为了金钱，也不为了名利，只为了犯罪而犯罪。他也不会感到恐惧，也不惧怕死亡，他乐于看到正义凛然的人物形象崩塌，看到他们虚假的信仰毁灭。他像给这个城市打了一针催化剂，把所有的罪恶都无限放大，扩大每个人心中的恶。
The Joker is single-minded. He commits crimes, not for money, not for fame, only for the sake of crime. He does not feel fear, nor is he afraid of death, he is happy to see the representations of the righteous and inspiring collapse, to see their false beliefs destroyed. He injects a catalyst to the city, magnifying all evils infinitely and expands the evil in everyone’s heart.
他想让蝙蝠侠打破这个规则，他想让蝙蝠侠因为失去理智杀了他，这样蝙蝠侠就被他拖入深渊了。所以我们会看见小丑坐着鸣着警笛的警车把头探出窗外，让风肆意的吹拂着他那绿色挑染的头发。
He wants Batman to break this rule, for Batman to lose control and kill him. In doing so, he can drag Batman down into the abyss with him. We see the Joker sitting in a police car with sirens blaring, sticking his head out the window, letting the wind blow through his hair with green streaks.
当我们读着瑞秋的那封信，我们是否会怀疑哈维之前说的，黎明就要来到了吗，还是这个城市永坠黑暗之中？
小丑对蝙蝠侠说，我们很像，我们都是怪物。因为他们都很纯粹。小丑给蝙蝠侠出了一个难题，一边是人民英雄哈维，一边是自己的爱人瑞秋，他该救谁呢？蝙蝠侠选择了哈维，而让警队队长去救瑞秋。
小丑这次的计划让哈维烧毁了一半的脸，就像哈维的习惯一样，喜欢用硬币的两面去做决定——是善是恶？是生是死？是光明，还是黑暗？
而瑞秋的死也为之后的哈维“黑化”埋下了伏笔。同时，瑞秋留下的遗言，也让蝙蝠侠坚定了信念。蝙蝠侠在深爱的人去世之后，难道没有犹豫、徘徊、绝望过吗？他不会怀疑自己坚持的“正义”真的对吗？
在遗言的最后一句，“或许你对我失去了信任吧。但，请不要对其他人也失去信任。”我相信这句话拉住了即将坠入深渊的蝙蝠侠，这也许就是爱的力量。
As we read Rachel’s letter, will we doubt what Harvey had said earlier, about the coming of the dawn, or will this city remain in perpetual darkness?
The Joker said to Batman, we are very similar, we are both freaks. Because they are both committed. The Joker gives Batman a difficult choice, between saving the people’s hero Harvey Dent, or his love Rachel? Batman chose Harvey, leaving the Commissioner to rescue Rachel. The Joker’s plan resulted in Harvey with half of his face burnt, just like Harvey’s habit of using sides of a coin to make his decisions – good or evil? Life or death? Light or darkness?
Rachel’s death also laid the groundwork for Harvey “becoming evil” later. At the same time, the last words left by Rachel also strengthened Batman’s faith. Did Batman not hesitate, waver, or despair after the death of someone he loved deeply? Won’t he doubt if the “justice” he persists in believing is really right?
In the last sentence of Rachel’s last words, “If you have lost your faith in me. Please keep your faith in people.” I believe that this sentence pulled Batman who was about to fall into the abyss, maybe this is the power of love.
小丑和哈维在医院精彩的对话，他把哈维身边的人都形容成阴谋家，把瑞秋的死归结为那些阴谋家的错，所以他要让社会进入无政府状态，推翻现有的制度，让一切陷入混乱……他成为混乱的使者，并告诉哈维，混乱才是真正的公平。通过瑞秋的死，让哈维和小丑一样成为打破正义规则的人。
小丑成为犯罪之王之后，他又拉大家玩儿一个游戏。如果科尔曼·瑞斯在一个小时内还活着，那就炸飞一座医院。
The Joker and Harvey had a riveting conversation in the hospital. The Joker described the people around Harvey as schemers, and attributed Rachel’s death to the fault of these schemers, which is why he wanted to introduce anarchy into society, upset the established order, throwing everything into chaos… He becomes the messenger of chaos and tells Harvey that only chaos is fair. With Rachel’s death, Harvey turns into a rule-breaker like the Joker.
After the Joker became the King of Crime, he pulled everyone in to play a game. If Coleman Reese is still alive in an hour’s time, he will blow up a hospital.
这跟我之前看过《公正》这本书里一个故事很像，杀死一个船员，拯救五个船员的命运，大家会怎么做？杀死一个人，拯救一个医院的人，大家又会怎么做？小丑的行为都在引发我们对于道德和正义的思考。
This is very similar to a story in the book [ Justice ] that I read before, killing one crew member and saving the fate of five crew members, what will you all do? Kill a person, save a hospital full of people, what will everyone do? The actions of the Joker are provoking and makes us think about morality and justice.
影片当中，我们能看到很多医院中的亲属都企图杀掉科尔曼·瑞斯。他们有错吗？罪恶的根源不应该是制造混乱的人吗？
不得不提的是，当时拍摄小丑炸医院的画面时，出现了一个小插曲。当他走出医院，爆炸本该继续，但突然停止了，这种突发情况和排练时可能不一样，但是小丑并没有停下他的表演，思考之后，开始捶打手中的遥控器，衔接了之后的爆炸。导演没有喊“卡”，摄影机还在录制，才保留了这精彩的一幕。（要知道，一次大场面的爆炸成本是非常高昂的。）
一次精彩的表演不仅带给了观众好的视听感官，也节省了剧组的成本。很多精彩的表演都来源这种突发状况。
In the film, we can see many people with relatives in hospitals trying to kill Coleman Reese. Are they wrong? Shouldn’t the source of evil be the ones who create chaos?
I have to mention the trivia which occurred during the scene when the Joker was bombing the hospital was filmed. When he walked out of the hospital, the explosion should have continued, but suddenly stopped. This kind of sudden situation might have been different from the rehearsal, but the Joker did not stop his performance. After some thought, he began to hit the detonator in his hand, setting off the subsequent chain explosions. The director didn’t call “cut” and the camera was still recording, so this wonderful scene was preserved. (The cost of a big explosion scene is very high.)
An exciting performance not only brings good immersive experience to the audience, but also saves the cost of the crew. Many wonderful performances can come from this kind of sudden situations.
影片看到这儿，全程无尿点。编剧和导演的功力十分了得，总以为故事要结束了，却又不断推向高潮。
影片到了第四个抉择，最大的游戏，让全市群众都参与其中的恐怖游戏。
小丑让哥谭市的人们只能坐船逃离哥谭市，当市民和罪犯集中在两艘船上时，小丑宣布规则，两艘船上都有炸弹和引爆器。只有在一个小时内引爆炸弹炸毁对方的船，才能保住己方所有船员的性命。
这场游戏彻底把整部影片推向了最高潮。善可以战胜恶吗？是罪犯更善良，还是市民更善良？
小丑在不断推进着他想看到的局面，然而一个黑人罪犯拿起了手中的引爆器，直接扔向了窗外，“我做了你们十分钟之前就想做的事儿”。
感谢导演。没有让我们心中维护正义、善良的声音散去，反而给了我们更强有力的力量，让我们相信了人性本善。即使是十恶不赦的罪犯，内心也会心存善念。
Until this point of the movie, there is no lull point in the whole journey. The skills of the screenwriter and director are excellent, the story seemed to be coming to an end, but they kept pushing the story to the climax.
The film comes to the fourth choice, the greatest game, a horror game that engages the whole city.
The Joker tells the people of Gotham City to escape by ferry, when the citizens and criminals are concentrated on two boats, the Joker announces the rules, that both ships are armed with bombs and detonators. Only by detonating the bombs to blow up the other ship within an hour can save the lives of all their own crew members.
This game completely pushed the entire film to its climax. Can good overcome evil? Are criminals kinder, or ordinary citizens kinder?
The Joker is constantly escalating the situation in the direction he wants, but a criminal picked up the detonator in his hand and threw it out the window, “…I’ll do what you should’ve did ten minutes ago.”
Thank you, director. Instead of dissipating the voice of justice and kindness in our hearts, you gave us strength and made us believe in the inherent goodness of human nature. Even a most heinous criminal can have kindness in their hearts.
小丑说别人是阴谋家，其实他才是这个所有恶行的谋划者。“阴谋家总是把自己的小世界牢牢握在自己手心，”小丑不就是最大的阴谋家吗？只是他瞧不起其他阴谋家的小阴谋，为了那一点自私自利，他可是把人心都玩透了。
蝙蝠侠一边要阻止警方开枪，一边还要解救人质。就在蝙蝠侠想要救人质的时候，小丑让罪犯都扮演好人，让人质披上罪恶的皮囊，让警方都难以区分敌我。“不怕遇到假装坏人的好人，就怕遇到假装好人的坏人。”
The Joker calls others schemers, but in truth he is the schemer of all evil deeds. “Schemers always hold their own little world firmly in their hands,” isn’t the Joker the biggest schemer?
It’s just that he looks down on the little schemes of other schemers, for that little bit of ego, he has played thoroughly with people’s hearts.
Batman has to save the hostages while preventing the police from shooting them. Just when Batman wanted to save the hostages, the Joker made the criminals pretend to be the good people and placed the hostages in ‘sinful skins’, making it difficult for the police to distinguish between the real enemy. “Not afraid to meet good people pretending to be bad, but afraid to meet bad people pretending to be good.”
影片最后的镜头，给到了曾经的城市之光哈维，我想问大家一个问题，抛硬币做选择真的公平吗？
The last shot of the film, is given to the former City’s Light Harvey Dent. I want to ask everyone a question, is it really fair to flip a coin to make a choice?
用这种简单的方式，做出的决定能代表正义吗？我们之所以有文明的社会，是因为人们不断的进步和思考，让社会更加健全，而不是这种简单的方法。
抛硬币也是取决于他的手感，是否多加练习，能让硬币永远朝上或者朝下呢？哈维是最相信正义的人，往往最坚信正义的人，最容易摔入万丈深渊。（最后蝙蝠侠没有杀小丑反而把他救上来的）
“冒着失败的危险和你贴身肉搏？你失败了。你需要一张王牌在手。我手上的是哈维，我带走了哥谭的正义骑士。我使他堕落到和我们一样，那并不难看，正如你所知，疯狂就像是一种万有引力一样，你需要做的不过就是轻轻推一把。”
In this simple way, can the decisions made represent justice? The reason why we have a civilized society is that people’s continuous progress and thinking, make the society more robust, not this kind of simple method.
Tossing a coin also depends on the feel of his hand. Is it possible to make the coin always face up or down with more practice? Harvey is the person who believes most in justice, often the person who believes in justice the most, is the most likely to fall into the abyss. (In the end, Batman saved the Joker instead of killing him)
“…a fistfight with you at the risk of failure? You failed. You need an ace in the hole. Mine’s Harvey, I took Gotham’s white knight… and I brought him down to our level. It wasn’t hard… see, madness, as you know, is like gravity…All it takes is a little push.”
不由得让我想起了那句歌词，“ 谁说站在光里的才能是英雄。”
I can’t help but remember that song lyrics, “Who said that only those who stand in the light are heroes.”
蝙蝠侠说“我不是英雄”，但是他却站在黑夜里带来了光明。如果正义的人没办法做到的事情，那就让我来吧。让我这个黑夜的化身，替他们来做。
“因为他不是我们的英雄。他是一位沉静的守护者，一位警觉的保护者，一位黑夜骑士。
Batman said “I’m not a hero”, but he stood in the dark and brought light. If there is something righteous people can’t do, let me do it. Let me become the incarnation of the night, to do it for them. “Because he is not our hero. He is a silent guardian, a watchful protector, a Dark knight.”
了解蝙蝠侠的老管家是这么说的，“都相信蝙蝠侠任重道远，不应该泯灭在恐怖主义的戏言中。即便人们会因此而恨他，但这就是他所做出的牺牲。他不仅仅是想当个英雄，而是想比英雄做的更多。”
The old butler who understands Batman said this ” … believe that Batman stands for something more important, than the whims of a terrorist… Even if everyone hates him for it, this is the sacrifice he’s making. He not being a hero, he’s being something more.”
