Has Justice ‘arrived’? Regrettably, not quite yet.
Changes to legislation is painfully slow, but the various voices calling for his case to be accepted by prosecution carries on, on both online and offline. Many new laws have been introduced in the past months which is supposed to help prevent cyberviolence and defend the rights of citizens, however Zhang Zhehan’s case had only been able to be mentioned indirectly in very few news articles within China’s news media platforms.
Zhang Zhehan, who had came out to say that he had been framed by rival competitors, had made his police report last December 24, eight months ago.
Set-up using his old 2018 tourist photos in a popular tourist spot – the sakura park outside the Yasukuni shrine, which was manipulated to question his patriotism and political stance. Water armies and bots incited outraged masses. The produced ‘effect’ was used in his swiftly executed judgment by CAPA ( CHINA Association of Performing Arts) – a civilian association who exercises a near industry monopoly with the members in their wide network, covering from performing to internet streaming etc. Zhang Zhehan’s appeal to CAPA to review his case, also did not appear to have begun any publicized process regarding his plea.
His daily life and basic rights, is still hampered by unfair censorship by big data, and even until recently, a bubble tea shop’s system can still refuse to input his name or send someone drinks with his name. Even a celebrity who actually broke laws is unlikely to have met with this degree of punishment. How did CAPA’s punishment go so far as to have such far-reaching effects even into e-commerce to violate the rights of Zhang Zhehan as a consumer of other goods and services?
Ahead of the 813-815 weekend, fans battened down the hatches, vigilant for antis stirring up trouble for the fandom.
Unfortunately, SeaWorld_小哲的收藏夹 – an archive account was compromised and hacked by antis. Fortunately, with new laws in place against inciting cyberviolence and the account status for MCNs now revealed, the dreaded weekend passed by quietly.
It appears that Weibo too, prepared ahead and on Aug12, muted the accounts of some of the vocal justice supporters of ZZH based on ‘violations of community guidelines’.
It is unclear how long they will be muted for.

Shanghai Uncle Rain who has just been unmuted since January, now ‘lost his voice’ again.
Was this a show of intimidation for those who continue to speak up for Zhang Zhehan?
Zhang Zhehan has shown us that, when life beats you down, you don’t have to stay down.
Even as his acting, singing and performing career has been indefinitely suspended, he has not stopped living his life to the fullest.
While he awaits his day in court, for his chance to clear his name, Zhang Zhe Han has shared 28 blog posts as Zhang San jian and **27 IG posts. Clips of him honing old and new skills of guitar playing, golfing, basketball, boxing and doing Pilates are shared on his IG and by his many supportive friends.
He also embarked on his journey as an entrepreneur to lead a team to create his own brand, 爱禾EHzZ, which is selling very well, showing that his fanbase is extremely supportive in his new endeavors.

Since his return to IG in April, then getting reported by antis and suspended…his now verified IG, meant that every post is precious, every caption an absolute delight.
The ‘CP fandom’ ‘橘子皮’ who had been actively harassing his family and friends while forcing their ‘beliefs’ of a non-existence relationship/friendship between his ex co-star and himself. Emboldened by ‘signs and clues’ as Gong Jun blatantly encouraged CP fan spendings by using ZZH’s elements and references in his various endorsements during the time the latter was boycotted; this group turned on everyone around ZZH who showed support for his 张三坚 blog, IG content or his new brand from the moment they sensed that ZZH is trying to make his comeback and let the truth surface.
Zhang Zhehan had appealed to this group in his handwritten letter, but as these people had refused to acknowledge his existence on his verified Instagram account and his words of reason, he had to denounce them in his May 4 Instagram video for such toxic behavior.
In the past 3 months since, they continued to do the work of antis and harass the very person they claim to support on a daily basis. They also cyberbullied and turned out ‘their own’ who have chosen to accept Zhang Zhehan’s new content in his blog or IG.
This frightening and deluded behavior has been observed by ‘outsiders’ and called out by fans and netizens who know of this matter.
Zhang Zhe han’s 海哲 Haizhe fandom have fought to stay united in their love and appreciation for this one man. Inside-fighting, turmoil over differences of opinions, planted fake fans who stir trouble, toxic antis… the fandom waters have not been entirely peaceful.
Hard-won small triumphs, such as the 3 blue verified weibo accounts for promoting Zhang Zhe han and EhzZ on weibo, did not come easy in the past months.
